Johanne Dictor, a neighborhood leader in San Leandro and President of the Estudillo Homeowners Association, has endorsed Stephen for Mayor of San Leandro. Here is a copy of the letter from Johanne published in the San Leandro Times:

I have thought long and hard about the various issues concerning San Leandro and what candidate to support for mayor. It is plain and simple that to resolve the problems confronting San Leandro we cannot look to those that helped create our problems.

We need a mayor with new, innovative ideas who will listen to and work with the community to improve our city. That is why I am supporting Stephen Cassidy for mayor. He has real solutions to the problems facing our city and possesses a vision of a brighter San Leandro.

Stephen also understands that leadership is by example and any sacrifices must start at the top. Any candidate who is willing to forgo his or her salary until we have a balanced budget is my kind of candidate.

There have been far too many mishaps and times when the other candidates for mayor disregarded the views of the community. They refuse to take any responsibility for their role in creating the financial disaster facing our city. Stephen will put the interests of the people of San Leandro first. He will work tirelessly to move our city forward and inspire us to achieve more.

If you want four more years of the same, then vote for one of the other candidates. If you want positive change and honest, open dialogue between City Hall and the community, then Stephen Cassidy is your candidate for mayor.

Kick off the summer by drinking award-winning ales and beers, eating free food and enjoying the company of friends and neighbors. There will be games and face painting for the kids.

It’s all at a Summer Party hosted by the Cassidy for Mayor at Drakes’s Brewery on June 25th, from 5 to 8 p.m. Drake’s is located at 1933 Davis Street in San Leandro (to the side and rear of Walmart in the Westgate Center near 880 and Davis Street). Since 1989, Drake’s has been making exciting and extreme ales, lagers and porters for distribution in the Bay Area and Southern California. Drake’s is owned by the same individuals that own and operate the Triple Rock Brewery and Jupiter Brewing companies in Berkeley.

The requested donation is $20 donation per adult (21 and over). Children with adults are free. $15 gets you a distinctive Drake’s glass mug and 3 tokens for full beer pulls.
